{ Project 365 }

Day 57

Lemonade Stand -  Kaylee and her neighbor friend Kayla set up a lemonade stand at the corner of our house.  Of course the boys could not be left out.  None of them cared that it was 100 degrees plus humidity.  They lasted outside a lot longer than I thought they would.  They made quite a bit of money for one afternoon.  It couldn’t be that every time a car drove by they waved and flashed their very best smiles.  How could anyone resist?

Day 58

The Story of a Boy and his Bike -   Drew got a bike for his birthday.  A really sweet bike that’s a perfect fit for him.  He loves riding it.  He will even hop on his bike when I ask him to go to the mailbox for me.  The mailbox is right across the street from our house.  It rained a lot for a couple of days in a row.  This little boy was the weather man sitting here right by the window.  Eventually, after several rainy days of much boredom and anticipation from this little 5 year old, he was happily reunited with his bike.  The End.

 Day 59

Alphabet Day Letter Y – Sometimes, when our days getting a little hum drum and boring, we like to make the everyday things seem like a celebration.  Like lunch for instance.  The letter Y – All things yellow on a yellow plate.  Applesauce, bananas, crackers and egg salad sandwiches.  The kids get excited about it and their attitude starts to change.  I am happy because I am doing the same thing I would already be doing, but now it seems fun and my kids are all of the sudden very appreciative.    The plate was devoured in a matter of minutes.  My job was done. :)

Day 60

The Toothless Wonder – again.  He had been working hard on this tooth for a long time.  With the help of Dad it finally came loose.  He was excited for a visit from the Tooth Fairy.  When I tucked him into bed that night he asked me if the Tooth Fairy was small or really big.  I asked him what he thought.  He said he thought she was small like Tinker Bell.  I agreed.  I love that right now things can still be magical for him.

Day 61

Baby Steps – I love watching this little bum march around the house.  There is nothing like a baby waddle with their wobbly little legs exposed.

Day 62

What a day – The mall on a Saturday.  3 hours longer than I thought I would be.  Headache.  Back to School shopping.  No parking.  Did I mention the mall on a SATURDAY?  Had to push a stroller up  hill across the street. No parking.  This was the only thing that even remotely got me through the day.  Oh yeah…Drew was sick.

Day 63

A Sunday drive – to the airport.  Casey had to leave on a business trip.  He flew out of the airport that is far away, so we took a drive through downtown Houston.  Kaylee took this picture through her window while we were driving on the freeway.  My camera was her entertainment.  My iphone was the boys’.
