{ Baby News }

I have been going crazy getting caught up on old posts (see below if you haven't already), but I saved the best  for last!

I had my ultrasound yesterday...which means I know what we're having...Are you ready to find out????

Let's just say my voting poll spoke for itself and you already knew what we were going to have!!

Here's a picture:

Baby Girl

It's a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't be happier about this!  I almost feel guilty for how extremely excited I am to be having a girl.  This is our last pregnancy, so it was our last shot at evening things out with a girl.  I was so nervous before the ultrasound that I told Casey I thought I was going to throw up.  I've never been that nervous for an ultrasound before.  It really shouldn't matter what we're having.  I am just grateful that everything looks healthy.  But I did get a bonus with a girl!  Now Kaylee has the chance to enjoy life with a sister and I get to enjoy a baby girl one last time.  There is nothing but smiles around here.  :)  I am finally motivated to get moving.  So much to do, so little time.  I am a couple of days away from being 20 weeks.  Halfway mark already...WOW!

{ Almost Summer }

After a lot of recent days in the sun, Casey pointed out to me that I had inherited some crazy tan lines.  I tried on my swim suit to see just how bad they really were.  Pretty bad...

So Drew and I spent an afternoon in our suits.

I lounged in a chair, working on a new tan line and enjoyed watching Drew play with the hose.  I think it's safe to say that we both had a great afternoon and enjoyed a much needed break from the daily grind.

{ Our Little Swimmers }

After weeks of swim team practice, every single day (M-F), we finally had our first meet this past Saturday.  This is what our Saturdays will consist of for the next 6 weeks.  All of the hard work and effort payed off.  Kaylee and Jake surprised the heck out of me and did AWESOME!  I knew that they could swim, but I was wondering how competitive they would get with it all.  They loved it and completely grasped the idea of racing and trying to win ribbons.  It was so much fun to watch and be a part of.

Here is Jake diving for the 100 Freestyle Relay.  Their team got first place.   (You can see Drew and Casey cheering him on in the background)

Jake - 25 yard Freestyle - he got a third place in the overall stroke.

Kaylee - 25 yard Breastroke.  This is her favorite event.  She is great at it.  This was my favorite event back in my swimming days (forever ago), so it's fun for me to see her do so well.  She got first place in her heat and third in the overall stroke.

K - Breaststroke  Kaylee - 1

Here she is after her Breastroke.  She wasn't going to get out of the pool until I told her what place she got.  I didn't know she could be so competitive.  I'm glad they both are enjoying it so much.  After the very first day of practice, she came home upset and didn't want to go back at all.  I told her she couldn't give up after one day!  Not everyone is great at things after trying one time, so she agreed to  try again.  I'm sure she's proud of herself now and glad she didn't give up.  They both are learning what hard work is all about!  Good job.  We are so proud of you Kaylee and Jake!

{ Field Day }

I can't believe it's this time of year again.  I feel like it wasn't that long ago that I did Kaylee's Field Day post last year.  Time goes by much too fast these days!  Last week Drew and I spent two days at the elementary school.  We packed a picnic lunch and cheered Jake on one day and Kaylee the next day.  It was fun to be outside with them.  There was a nice breeze on both days, which saved the day for all of us!  Here are some pictures:

Jake's first Field Day.  Tricycle race.

Water Relay's - always the favorite event!  (Look at those cute little calves.  Love those legs!)

Water Wars

Beach ball race.

Tug of War.  The girls in her class rocked with the tug of war!  They won against the boys every single time.  After about 4 tries the boys gave up.  Poor guys...

These days at the school were fun, but secretly...I'm ready for my kids to be done with school and home for the summer.  (I might eat my words later, but that's how I feel right now, ha, ha!)  Only a couple more weeks!

{ San Antonio }

These past couple of weeks have been so busy!  Blogging is always the first thing that has to go,  but I'm going to get all caught up in the next couple of days.  Casey was out of town for a week.  He got home and 3 days later his family came to visit for a week.  We enjoyed spending time together and getting all caught up.  The cousins had fun playing together.  My kids still had to go to school, but it was a reunion every time they got home for the day.  They couldn't get enough of each other!

We took a trip to San Antonio for the weekend.  Can I say HOT!!!  If you have not experienced Texas heat, then you're just missing out!  Not really, but nothing compares to it!  I'm glad we went then and not any later.  I would have died from pregnancy heat exhaustion...is there even such a thing?  I'm saying yes!  Anyway, besides the heat factor we had a lot of fun.

The cousins.  We had to take a snow cone break to cool down.  I don't think the kids sat more still the entire week than right here!

The next day was spent at Six Flags.  Thank goodness for water rides!  Here is grandma with the grandkids (minus little Matti) after a much needed water ride.
