Oh Kaylee...

Our little Princess Kaylee, is always having some trauma with her glasses. This is the third time now, just since this school year, that we have had to replace the whole frame. Between her and her two brothers, they are constantly getting broken. Luckily, we have a warranty and they have honored it every time. This last time they broke, she had only had her new pair for 3 or 4 weeks before they broke again and we were back to the eye doctor apologizing that we had to ask for a new pair AGAIN!!! After being without her glasses for a week and a half, she finally got them back yesterday. She was the happiest girl ever! You would have thought she got a new bike or a trip to Disneyland! Every time she is without her glasses, all she does is complain that she can't see, especially when she's watching T.V. So, in the meantime, we gave her Casey's old pair of glasses to wear so she could see the T.V. They basically have the same perscription. That made her happy, although if friends would stop by, she would hurry and take them off because she wouldn't want anyone to see her in them. Isn't she too young to be acting like that?!?!? She's only in first grade. I guess they learn early.

Here she is watching T.V. with her dad's glasses.
They aren't bad are they???

The part that I think is so funny and ironic about all of this is that I remember when she was in Kindergarten and got her first pair of glasses. She was excited about it at first and that wore off much too soon because she stopped wearing them altogether! She looked absolutely adorable in them, but she didn't want ANYTHING to do with them. Then we lost them this summer in the move and she was without any until we took her in before she started first grade. Then she finally appreciated being able to see better and now she can't stand to be with out them! I guess kids have to learn on their own when they are ready.
Kaylee, we love you and we think that you are just the cutest girl!!

She is such a sweet and beautiful girl. Make sure she knows that her favorite aunt misses her! I know how she fills though I hate not being able to see, its the worst. But Casey's glasses don't look half bad on her!

She is a very cute girl and I love her glasses. My first grader Chloe is the same way about stuff like that. She always has to match and her hair has to be just right especially in front of friends. It must be the age...lol

She is so cute and getting so big! I was expecting some "Sally Jesse Raphael" glasses with Casey's but they look good!
